CALM and REASSURE

Good for when you feel tense and have worrying thoughts churning round and round in your mind. Helps you to mentally switch off. Helpful for stress, anxiety, palpitations and panic.

Contains bergamot, clary sage, ylang ylang and cedarwood.

Bergamot
Uplifting but does not stimulate, therefore good for relieving anxiety, depression, stress and tension.

Clary Sage
A powerful relaxant very good for easing mental and emotional stress. It helps ease anxiety, tension and panic. It is also a tonic so is good when recovering from illness, especially flu and depression. Clary Sage induces a calm and relaxed, pleasant state that helps you ‘switch off’ more easily.

(Worth noting, Clary Sage essential oil should not be used in high concentrations if you have been drinking alcohol as it is reported to induce nightmares. The Clary Sage in this pulse point is diluted sufficiently not to have this effect).  

Ylang Ylang
A relaxant that slows breathing and heart rate so calms mind and body. Good for relieving palpitations, panic and anxiety.

Cedarwood
Reduces stress and tension and has a tonic effect on mind and body.

Cautions: Application to pulse points is not advised during pregnancy due to the Clary Sage content. However the aroma can be inhaled during pregnancy.

COMFORT and UPLIFT

Good for when you feel emotionally stressed and run down. Particularly good following a period of stress and strain or bereavement.

Contains sandalwood, bergamot and neroli.

Sandalwood
Relaxing and calming properties. Also gently sedative so helps with sleep.

Bergamot
Uplifting but does not stimulate, therefore good for helping to relieve anxiety, depression, stress and tension. Only FCF Bergamot (furocoumarins free) is used in order to avoid photosensitisation effects.

Neroli
Has a calming and antidepressant effect and is helpful for emotional stress as it reduces anxiety. It is good for shock and gently sedative so can help with sleep.

Cautions: No known cautions to use.

SETTLE and COMPOSE

Good for when you feel 'light-headed' and 'distant'. Very grounding and settling. Also helpful before nerve wracking events,
such as making a speech. 

Contains patchouli, ginger and lemon.

Cautions: No known cautions to use.

BOOST!

Good for relieving mental fatique and weariness. Wakes you up and sharpens the mind so don't use too near to bedtime!

Contains rosemary and basil.

Both these essential oils are distilled from the flowers of the plant. Basil and Rosemary are excellent cephalics (mental stimulants), hence they have the above described effects on the brain.

Cautions: Application to pulse points is not advised during pregnancy due to the stimulating nature of the blend. However the aroma could be inhaled during pregnancy.

HEADACHE RELIEF

Contains lavender, peppermint and rosemary.

Lavender and Peppermint are painkillers, particularly when used together. Lavender is relaxing and sedative whilst peppermint is stimulating and clearing, therefore this blend does not make you sleepy. 

Rosemary has painkilling properties and clears the head. It is a mental stimulant so good for headaches following mental effort.

 Peppermint and Rosemary are also decongesting so good for headaches caused by flu and colds.

Lavender is relaxing so good for tension headaches.

This combination of oils does all headaches!  

Cautions to use: Use not advised if you suffer epilepsy due to peppermint content and the fact it is applied to the forehead. Application during pregnancy is not advised due to rosemary and peppermint content, however the aroma can be inhaled during this time.
