Relieve stiff, aching muscles and joints
with pure essential oils selected for their
INTENSELY WARMING, ANALGESIC
and
ANTI-SPASMODIC properties.
The Rheumatic Aches and Pains Blend contains marjoram, black pepper and lavender.
It is available in bubble bath, shower gel, massage oil and gel rub.
Full ingredient listings can be found on the quick guide page.
Use of products:
It is recommended to apply massage oil or gel rub twice daily to the affected area. Move the joint immediately after applying to help release any stiffness. The gel rub is water based so good when a quick, non oily application is required.
If the product is used long term, it is recommended to rotate with a similar blend, for example Osteoarthritis. This is because the body can get ‘used to’ the repeated use of the same essential oils, so they then appear less effective.
Cautions: Use not advised during pregnancy due to the marjoram content.

RHEUMATIC ACHES AND PAINS CONTAINS MARJORAM, BLACK PEPPER AND LAVENDER PURE ESSENTIAL OILS BECAUSE:
The term ‘rheumatism’ is actually used to describe all disorders that involve aches and pains in the muscles and joints. These disorders include arthritis (both osteo and rheumatoid), gout and rheumatism.
However, ‘rheumatism’ is normally used to describe pain that occurs mainly in the muscles. This makes it easier to distinguish between muscular based pain and joint based pain (which may be arthritis or gout).
Lavender
Essential oil is distilled from the flowering tops. It is a versatile oil being calming, soothing and balancing to both mind and body.
In relation to the muscles it has analgesic, anti-spasmodic and relaxing properties. It helps to reduce pain locally where it is applied and also calms the reaction of the nervous system to pain, so reducing the overall feeling of pain.
Marjoram
Essential oil is distilled from the flowering tops. It is warming, analgesic and also sedative. In relation to muscles, marjoram dilates the blood vessels and therefore increases blood supply to the area where it is applied. It is this action that produces a warm feeling when it is applied to the skin. The warmth is helpful for relieving stiffness and encouraging greater mobility. The increased blood supply also helps remove toxins that build up in stiff muscles.
Black Pepper
Essential oil is distilled from black peppercorns. Like marjoram, black pepper is very warming when applied to the skin (in fact more so than marjoram). It is therefore good for helping to relieve stiff, painful muscles and encouraging the removal of toxins that can contribute to this. It also has analgesic and anti-spasmodic properties. Black pepper is only used in small amounts in this blend due to its strong warming effect.
