HAND CREAMS

Our hand creams are light in texture, non greasy and easily absorbed. They are made with vegetable oils which naturally deeply nourish and condition the skin and are further tailored for specific use with pure essential oils and organic botanical extracts. 

Ingredients of base hand cream: Aqua (water), Heliannthus anuus (sunflower oil), vegetable glycerine (vegetable based moisturiser), cetearyl alcohol (wax thickener), caprylic capric glucoside (mild cleanser from sugar and coconut oil), Prunus amygadalus (sweet almond oil), Butyrospemum parki (shea butter), tocopherol acetate (vitamin E), Macadamia tetraphylla (macadamia oil),  phenoxyethanol (preservative), stearic acid (wax thickener), caprylyl glycol (preservative), carbomer (thickener), ceteareth-20 (emulsifier from palm oil), dimethicone (emollient), sodium hydroxide (used to adjust pH). Plus additonal ingredients according to type (see below).

More about the natural vegetable oils in the base cream:
Sunflower Oil
Rich in linoleic acid which is an essential fatty acid required for healthy skin. Nourishes the skin and is easily absorbed making the cream 'light' and enhancing the absorption of other ingredients.
Sweet Almond Oil
A classic skin care oil that is easily absorbed, leaving the skin soft smooth and supple.
Shea Butter
Encourages the growth of healthy new skin cells and has excellent moisture-retaining properties, making the skin soft and supple.
Macadamia Oil
Rich in palmitoleic acid which occurs naturally in the skin (but reduces with age), the function of which is to maintain moisture levels. Macadamia oil is therefore an excellent moisturiser.

Nourishing and Replenishing - ideal for dry / sensitive hands
This hand cream is enriched with organic Rosehip seed extract, a botanical CO₂ extract that is pure, gentle and concentrated. It is rich in vitamin A and very beneficial for dry and sensitive skin.
Palmarosa is a scented grass native to India. The essential oil is distilled from the fresh or dried grass and it has many beneficial skincare properties. It is hydrating, balancing, antiseptic and promotes healthy skin growth.
Ylang Ylang is a small tree that grows throughout the tropics, the essential oil is distilled from the flowers. The aroma of is exotic, sweet and floral and has excellent skin care properties, being soothing, calming and balancing. This hand cream has a light floral aroma and is our most popular.

Sunflower, Frankincense and Myrrh Hand cream
Nourishing and Softening - ideal for dry / rough hands
Both Frankincense and Myrrh are expensive essential oils that are distilled from the resin exuded from the bark of the trees. They are excellent for dry and rough skin and coupled with sunflower oil, deeply nourish, soften and smooth hands.
The aroma of this hand cream is 'heavy' and 'deep' as they are both base note essential oils. If you particularly like the aroma of myrrh you will just love this! It is also an ideal choice for people who do not like floral aromas and a favorite with men.

Additional ingredients: Heliannthus annus (sunflower oil), Boswellia carteri (frankincense essential oil), Commiphora myrrha (myrrh essential oil). D-limonene, geraniol and linalool occurring naturally in essential oils.

Beeswax and Amaranth Hand and Heel Cream
Intense softening, nourishment and protection for hard, rough skin

This cream is excellent for skin with hard and rough patches such as that sometimes found on the heels, knees and elbows. It is also ideal for ' hardworking outside' hands that get particularly rough and dry.
It contains organic beeswax which creates a natural protective barrier for the skin whilst also allowing the skin to 'breathe' and function naturally (unlike paraffin and mineral oils found in some some commercial hand creams that 'seal' the skin).
It is further enriched with organic Amaranth seed extract, a botanical CO₂ extract that is pure, gentle and concentrated. Amaranth seed has excellent skin care properties, being especially ideal for dry and problem skin as it deeply nourishes and encourages smoother, softer, healthy skin. This cream contains a higher concentration than that found in the Gardeners hand cream.
Orange (organic) essential oil is cold pressed from the fruit rind. It is in this cream because is softens hard and rough skin.
Patchouli (organic) essential oil is distilled from the leaves and is included because it is soothing and calming for cracked, dry and sore skin.
