Amaranth Seed Extract
Extracted with CO₂ gas, this botanical extract is pure, gentle and concentrated. It has excellent skin care properties, being especially ideal for dry and problem skin as it deeply nourishes, encouraging smoother, softer healthy skin.
Carrot Seed
The essential oil is distilled from the seeds. Carrot Seed is the oil of choice for dry and problem skin. It is rich in carotene (natural vitamin A) so has exceptional skin care properties. It is soothing, calming and nourishing and promotes smoother, softer skin.
Roman Chamomile
The essential oil is distilled from the flowers. It is particularly soothing and calming on the skin, making the urge to scratch less likely.
Tea Tree
The essential oil is distilled from the leaves or twigs of the tree. Most people are familiar with Tea Tree and its antiseptic properties. Tea Tree also promotes healthy skin.

Carrot and Chamomile Oil
This specially formulated massage oil is made with Apricot Kernal oil, Evening Primrose oil, Safflower oil, Jojoba oil, Rosehip oil, Shea Butter oil, Natural Vitamin E and Vitamin A (as well as amaranth seed and the above essential oils).
The vegetable oils have been selected for their ability to deeply moisturise, nourish and soften the skin. These properties are due to their rich fatty acid content (eg Omega 3 & 6, Gamma linoleic acid) that are required for healthy skin. They are also naturally rich in minerals and vitamins.
Natural vitamin E is a strong antioxidant that is well known for promoting healthy skin. The natural vitamin E used in this oil is derived from soya and sunflower oils.
Vitamin A (retinol palmitate) has an important role in the making of new skin. It also nourishes dry skin.

About the natural ingredients in this cream:
Sunflower Oil
Rich in linoleic acid which is an essential fatty acid required for healthy skin. Nourishes the skin and is easily absorbed making the cream 'light' and enhancing the absorption of other ingredients.
Sweet Almond Oil
A classic skin care oil that is easily absorbed, leaving the skin soft smooth and supple.
Shea Butter
Promotes the growth of healthy new skin cells and has excellent moisture-retaining properties, making the skin soft and supple.
Macadamia Oil
Rich in palmitoleic acid which occurs naturally in the skin (but reduces with age), the function of which is to maintain moisture levels. Macadamia oil is therefore an excellent moisturiser, especially for skin exposed to the weather.
Natural vitamin E
A strong antioxidant that promotes healthy, smooth, soft skin. The natural vitamin E used in this cream is derived from soya and sunflower oils that are GMO free.
Carotene
Natural vitamin A that is especially good for dry skin. The carotene used in this cream is 20% beta carotene proVitamin A (from carrot seed oil) diluted in rapeseed oil. Carotene is orange in colour and it is this (and the vitamin E) that naturally colour this cream. The cream however, will not stain the skin.

About the natural ingredients:

Calendula (marigold) Oil (certified organic)
Extracted from the organic flowers with CO₂ gas, the botanical extract is pure, gentle and concentrated. It is then mixed with cold pressed organic jojoba oil. Calendula is renowned for its ability to soothe, calm, deeply nourish and restore the skin. The jojoba oil it is mixed with additionally softens the skin.
Comfrey Oil (certified organic)
This oil is made by steeping the organic leaves and roots in organic sunflower oil and shaking vigorously daily for up to 6 weeks. The plant material is then filtered off leaving the sunflower oil containing the therapeutic properties of the comfrey plant material. This is called a macerated oil. Comfrey is well known for its remarkable ability to promote healthy new skin growth. The sunflower oil enables the therapeutic properties to be readily absorbed by the skin and also nourishes the skin. Comfrey oil should not be used during pregnancy or when breastfeeding.
Roman Chamomile Pure Essential Oil
Native to Europe, the essential oil is distilled from the flowers. It is extremely soothing and calming on irritated and sore skin, making the urge to scratch less likely.
Safflower Oil
This oil has a high content of omega 3 and 6 essential fatty acids that are required for healthy skin. It is extremely nourishing and ideal for sensitive and problem skin.
Natural Vitamin E
A strong antioxidant that is well known for restoring and promoting healthy skin. The natural vitamin E used in this oil is derived from soya and sunflower oils (GMO free).
Beeswax (certified organic)
Beeswax gives this ointment its consistency and creates a protective barrier for the skin to reduce drying out. We use natural, unrefined, white organic beeswax from a fair-trade project.
